Job summary

Heritage Valley Ford, Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to their needs and schedule appointments as needed. You will obtain vehicle information, report symptoms accurately, and prepare cost estimates for labor and parts.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in a service department, knowledge of automobiles, and a proven ability to achieve high customer satisfaction. Ford dealership experience is a plus; join a team with flexible hours and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Ford dealership experience is a plus.
• Ability to identify problems quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles and repair/service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
