Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the point of contact for customers and help maintain plan-o-grams and displays. You will stock merchandise, assist shoppers, and operate the cash register to complete purchases.

In this role, you will also unload trucks, restock items, and keep the sales floor clean and organized while following company policies and procedures. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in store.
• Open and unpack cartons; stock on shelves.
• Build displays and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating items and check out customers.
• Operate cash register and scan items, bag purchases.
