NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) is hiring a part-time Sales Associate in San Diego to greet customers, showcase products, and deliver friendly service. You will learn our merchandise, engage shoppers, and help meet sales goals with a professional, educational approach.

Responsibilities include cash handling, POS operation, inventory tasks and maintaining a welcoming store environment. No prior experience required; high school diploma preferred; flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of products merchandise.
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier customer service.
• Cross-sell products and upsell based on customer needs.
• Assist and guide customers to merchandise and inform them about promotions.
• Maintain store appearance and organize stock.
• Process transactions using POS system and handle cash accurately.
• Complete paperwork, reports and reconciliations.
• Be the keeper of merchandise and participate in inventories.
