Job summary

Break Time Sales Associates are responsible for assisting customers, handling sales transactions, and performing store-wide duties to keep the Break Time convenience store clean, stocked, and compliant with company policies during each shift.

They embody energetic, customer-focused service, with responsibilities spanning food preparation, merchandising, and operations, including POS use, pricing, and assisting in training new staff.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability and willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers with fast, friendly service and accurate transactions.
• Merchandising and pricing, stocking, and presenting merchandise fronted and faced.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Work as a team to serve customers while following local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate POS, perform calculations, and complete shift reports.
• Assist training of new employees on policies and procedures; support loss control tasks.
• Follow food service guidelines; ensure correct time, temperatures, cleanliness, and presentation of items.
• Maintain a clean store environment and adhere to safety standards.
