Job summary

Break Time Sales Associates assist customers, process sales transactions and perform operational and food preparation duties necessary to keep the Break Time convenience store clean and well stocked while following all company policies and procedures to ensure proper and efficient operation during the scheduled shift. Sales Associates are energetic individuals who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, customer-service oriented person in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform basic math and make change.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technology, and operate a computer.
• Food handler certification or equivalent preferred.
• Physical ability to handle products in cold environments.
• Stand for up to nine hours per shift.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers; provide fast, friendly service; conduct accurate transactions; handle concerns quickly.
• Merchandise and stock: pricing, promotions, stocking, cleanliness, and fronting displays.
• Maintain timely communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Work as a team to serve customers while following local, state and federal regulations.
• Operate POS systems, computers, and devices; perform math to make change and complete shift reports.
• Assist training of new employees on policies; manage loss-control aspects of cash handling, lottery, food waste, sales and inventory.
• Follow food preparation guidelines; inspect temps, cleanliness, portions, pricing; operate ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean environment; sanitize equipment and area; ensure proper storage and display standards.
• Adhere to company policies and be prepared for other duties as assigned.
