Job summary

Pick 'n Save in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the register and help maintain a clean, safe store environment. You will process diverse transactions, assist customers, and follow company policies on cash handling and restricted items.

The role requires strong math skills, prior bagger/courtesy clerk experience, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting. Benefits include healthcare coverage and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and serve customers to create an outstanding experience.
• Process customer transactions at the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to all safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions or issues to management.
• Assist with equipment inspections and notify when repairs are needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products and store services.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
