Job summary

Kroger in Perrysburg, OH is seeking a part-time cashier/checker to greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will handle various tender types, follow policy, and stay aligned with promotions and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates may have prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers as a cashier/checker
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
• Provide product information and assist customers across the store
