Responsibilities

• Be visible, greet customers and assist them in the store to create a welcoming environment.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons in line with policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits, prevent shortages/overages and protect store assets.
• Follow rules on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report discrepancies.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow safety and food safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards to management.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products and store departments.
