Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers to create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle tenders (Cash, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, checks, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow promotion/ads.
• Maintain food safety and store safety guidelines; inspect equipment and call for repairs when needed.
• Assist customers with product questions and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
