Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Barnstable, MA is seeking a Customer Service & E-Commerce Team Member to assist customers at the checkout, operate cash registers, bag groceries, and support the customer service desk. You will help maintain appealing displays and ensure a positive store image through courteous, friendly service consistent with SOPs.

The role emphasizes accuracy with registers, compliance with health and safety standards, teamwork, and readiness to perform opening, mid, and closing duties

Qualifications

• Demonstrates patience in dealing with customers and Team Members.
• Maintains proficiency with the Cashier Code Book and PLUs.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to customers, team members, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
• Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
• May assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers promptly.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper stocking and merchandising.
