Job summary

Waters Hardware seeks friendly cashiers to operate a checkout counter and assist customers with questions. You will be the first store associate customers meet, so presenting a positive first impression is essential.

The role involves maintaining a clean front end, answering questions about merchandise, handling transactions accurately, and supporting other tasks as needed. Training on store policies and loyalty promotions will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Create an inviting environment for customers by maintaining a clean and orderly front end.
• Verbally welcome all customers to Waters Hardware.
• Answer questions about merchandise and store locations.
• Answer phones promptly and transfer customers to the correct department.
• Provide a smooth checkout experience with efficient processing of transactions.
• Maintain displays and stock around the checkout area.
• Understand and follow store policies including returns and deliveries.
• Promote loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.
