First Merchants Bank is seeking a Service Associate (Teller) to join our team to provide high quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and recommending products/services to meet customers' current and future financial needs.

This role focuses on responsive customer service, cash handling, and driving sales while adhering to bank policies and security procedures. Previous cash handling and sales experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer inquiries and problems with solutions meeting customer needs.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Ensure compliance and reporting; follow information security procedures.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products and make customer referrals to meet goals.
• Know all bank products and participate in meetings.
