Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC. is hiring for a Full-Time Store Associate in Savannah, GA. You will support daily store operations, assist customers, stock merchandise, and uphold safety and cash handling standards.

This role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. The position involves opening/closing duties, merchandising, and collaborating with management to train associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail/ grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies, train and develop associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
