Job summary

Haag Oil is seeking a Team Member to provide excellent customer service at Max's Emporia, KS. You will operate the cash register and POS equipment, handle cash, and ensure accurate transactions with a focus on safety and policy adherence.

The role offers full-time hours, $10.00 to $14.00 per hour, and opportunities to develop customer service skills in a busy convenience-store environment. Benefits include health coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous customer service experience desired.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before customers and team members.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and all point-of-sale equipment efficiently.
• Handle cash and safe drops in accordance with company policies.
• Follow credit card and check cashing policies.
• Prepare shift reports and other reports required by management.
• Follow company policy and procedures and all laws governing beverage and tobacco sales.
• Clean shelves, drives, dispensers, rest rooms, store interior and other designated areas.
• Pricing, stocking, rotating and counting merchandise.
• Counting inventory.
• Assist management in maintaining buildings, equipment and grounds.
