Job summary

Haag Oil in Topeka, KS is seeking a Team Member to provide friendly, professional customer service, greet customers, and handle transactions at the register while keeping the store clean and well-stocked. You will support safety procedures and assist with displays and housekeeping throughout the shift.

Previous cashier or retail experience is helpful, but training is provided. This role emphasizes accurate cash handling, friendly service, and teamwork with management and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience helpful; we will train.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to stand, walk, stock, and perform routine cleaning duties.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
• Greet and thank customers and respond to questions promptly.
• Operate the cash register and POS equipment accurately.
• Handle cash, safe drops, credit cards, payouts and lottery according to policy.
• Stock, rotate, face, and count merchandise.
• Maintain clean and orderly sales areas, restrooms, and store grounds.
• Assist with displays, inventory, store equipment, and grounds.
