Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Columbus, OH is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, meet sales goals, and help present our merchandise to customers.

You will lead by example in accuracy and completeness of work, handle cash and POS transactions, and support store operations, promotions, and loss prevention. Ideal candidates have retail experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of store presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Keep stock organized and merchandised properly; maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and merchandize on the sales floor when needed.
• Process all sales and POS transactions in accordance with policy and ensure shoes are matched correctly.
