Job summary

The Children's Place is hiring a Sales Associate in Kansas City, MO to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and initiatives. You will deliver exceptional customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to help customers find the right merchandise.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and ensure clean, organized backroom and storefront while adhering to safety guidelines. Weekend and evening availability required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a sense of urgency while prioritizing service.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions and assist with out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate about the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards for displays and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe, and maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Notify leadership of maintenance and facility needs.
• Contribute toward store goals.
• Process stock as needed.
