Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a Retail Cashier who will be the friendly face at the front of the store, handling transactions, promoting the Ace Rewards program, and keeping the front-end area clean and organized.

Responsibilities include accurate cash handling, processing refunds or credits, and participating in sales promotions. Weekend availability and a professional appearance are required to support a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience or proficiency in similar tasks.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to operate a cash register, POS system, and basic computer/phone tasks.
• Regular attendance and flexible scheduling including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Handle cash, checks, refunds, and in-store credits accurately.
• Process credit card transactions and coupon redemptions per policy.
• Maintain accuracy of cash drawer and report discrepancies.
• Engage customers and promote Ace Rewards benefits.
• Maintain store cleanliness around the register area and restrooms.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with store promotions and campaigns.
