Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a store associate to provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and visually appealing sales floor, and assist with stock and floor replenishment. The role involves greeting customers, processing transactions, and supporting with merchandising.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (or combination of education and experience) and is flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• Background check is required.
• Criminal background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers quickly upon entry, make eye contact, and thank them at checkout and on exit.
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately within cash handling guidelines.
• Assist with stocking, rotating stock, and keeping the sales floor clean and visually organized.
• Support with visual presentation, end caps, and floor displays to maximize appearance.
• Address store cleanliness issues and report to management when needed.
• Work evenings and/or weekends as required by business needs.
