Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a customer-focused associate to support store operations, greet shoppers, and keep displays tidy. You will engage with customers on the sales floor, assist with stocking, and help maintain clean, organized spaces.

The role requires reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. No prior experience is required, and a criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an enthusiastic, positive attitude at all times and treats customers courteously.
• Greets every customer swiftly upon entering the building, makes eye contact, smiles, and thanks them.
• Engages with customers on the sales floor and offers assistance as needed.
• Processes customer transactions quickly and accurately within cash handling guidelines.
• Participates in stocking, rotating stock, and presenting fresh product on the floor.
• Maintains the sales floor in a clean, neat and orderly fashion and keeps wrap desks uncluttered.
• Ensures floor visuals (end caps, displays) stay current and appealing.
• Follows store safety rules and privacy policies as outlined by Goodwill.
