Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in West Point, Utah is seeking a customer-focused team member for our store department. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, maintain a safe, clean environment, and deliver the Customer 1st experience for every shopper.

Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking shelves, ensuring product freshness and proper temperatures, and following food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions.
• Recommend grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need; inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines; maintain proper temperatures and logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs; report accidents or suspicious activity.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
