Job summary

Kroger is seeking a team-oriented associate for the Meat department in Utah. You will stock, display, and rotate products, assist customers, monitor temperatures, and ensure clean, safe workspaces. You will greet customers and help with quality food service while maintaining company standards.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.

• Must be able to safely use cleaning solutions and operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service.
• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
• Greet customers and provide good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, and comply with State and Federal laws.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
