Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome by answering questions about products
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with product suggestions
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials
• Check product quality and ensure freshness; review dates and take action
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide fresh products ordered
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks
• Report all safety risks and illegal activity
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with/without accommodation
