Job summary

The Children’s Place in Wayne, NJ is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques while keeping the store and backroom clean and organized.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, managing stock, processing transactions at the cashwrap, and contributing to loss prevention.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings, and call-in shifts
• Able to maneuver on sales floor and stockroom; lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service
• Communicate value and promotions; offer solutions for out of stock items
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment
• Demonstrate selling skills to impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on The PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards
• Keep stockroom neat and organized and maintain a customer-ready environment
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Follow Loss Prevention procedures to protect assets
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts
• Process stock when needed
