You will also handle orders, pricing questions, and customer inquiries, while upholding loss prevention and safety standards. This role emphasizes service, product knowledge, and teamwork in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Strong math, reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Problem-solving ability and good organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials or hardware.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and climb a ladder.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Assist customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions.
• Operate the cash register and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
• Replenish inventory and organize displays.
• Follow company policies including loss prevention.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Handle customer complaints or direct to a manager.
• Write sales orders and special orders using POS.
• Assist in cycle counting of inventory.
• Face and front products at shift start/end.
• Assist with loading purchases for customers.
• Submit price or description issues via the Resource Center.
• Participate in store safety meetings.
