Job summary

Austin Habitat for Humanity - ReStore in Austin, TX is seeking full-time Cashiers to serve as the first point of contact for retail customers and maintain an enjoyable shopping experience. Reporting to the ReStore Manager, you will ensure accurate cash handling, assist with inquiries, and uphold store procedures.

The role requires exceptional customer service, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to stand for long periods. Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times.
• Assists customers with complaint issues.
• Knows the layout of the ReStore and guides customers to merchandise.
• Familiar with the ReStore POS system and classifies items at checkout.
• Follows store procedures for credit cards and cash handling.
• Understands pricing system and handles pricing conflicts.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the cash area.
• Screens incoming calls and voicemails.
• Manages CSR program paperwork and donor receipts.
• Performs data entry of donated goods receipts.
• Creates signage for store products.
• Restocks sales counter merchandise.
• Delivers weekly office supplies order.
• Participates in inventory events.
• Assists donors and customers with donation receipts.
• Represents the store mission and values.
