Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker in Little Rock to greet customers, assist with transactions, and uphold company standards. You will operate the POS system, process payments, and ensure accurate handling of cash, checks, and various tender types while following safety and loss-prevention guidelines.

The role requires excellent customer service, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to greet, engage and assist customers and provide helpful service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with checkout in a friendly manner.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane.
• Operate POS system and handle multiple payment methods per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted item guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Monitor pricing discrepancies and communicate with the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow store policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Provide product information and answer customer questions to enhance the shopping experience.
