Responsibilities include operating the POS, managing various tender types, adhering to cash limits, and following policy on restricted items. Join a team focused on service excellence and community support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons)
• Adhere to cash handling limits and reduce loss
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and report repairs
• Create welcoming environment and answer product questions
• Comply with laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively under pressure and manage conflicts
• Act with honesty and integrity and seek help to resolve issues
• Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
