Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a cashier/cashier- checker to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will greet customers, process transactions, and apply store policies while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include understanding the POS, handling multiple tender types, following loss prevention guidelines, and staying updated on promotions. Strong communication and math skills are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders incl. cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, loyalty offers.
• Follow policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Maintain safe environment and report safety issues to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify for repairs.
• Provide product information to customers across store sections.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Handle high-paced, sometimes stressful environments and resolve conflicts calmly.
