Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Cashier/Checker at 220 Waverly Plz, Waverly, OH. You will greet customers, assist shoppers, and process transactions efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

You will handle POS operations, adhere to cash controls, and follow policies on restricted items and promotions. This role emphasizes excellent service and loss prevention in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle POS transactions and tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit/Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow policies on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow up as needed.
• Maintain awareness of food safety regulations and store policies.
• Create a welcoming environment and help customers with product questions.
