Job summary

Applied Materials in partnership with Raise is hiring Customer Field Technicians II to support semiconductor equipment operations in a customer FAB environment. In this hands-on role, you will assist with mechanical assembly, installation preparation, and movement of equipment and components.

This position is 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ, follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers a pay range of $25.00–$27.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in manufacturing, equipment assembly, field operations, maintenance, or related technical environments.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience using hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials.
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Assembly: Perform mechanical assembly and subassembly of equipment, modules, and components.
  • Tools & Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assigned work.
  • Technical Documentation: Read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, procedures, and checklists.
  • Installation Support: Support equipment staging, installation preparation, material movement, and site readiness activities.
  • Equipment Adjustments: Assist with equipment levelling, alignment, and basic mechanical adjustments.
  • Quality: Verify component quality and identify discrepancies or defects.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiencies.
  • Safety: Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and field teams.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, or electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
