Acara Solutions is seeking a Process Technician in North Phoenix for a temp-to-hire role in the semiconductor industry. You will operate and monitor automated systems, troubleshoot issues, and support wafer handling while maintaining cleanroom standards.

The position includes paid training, followed by 12-hour day or night shifts, and a production schedule of 3-4 days per week. Strong attention to detail and basic Excel skills are required, with safety and quality as top priorities.

  • Typing speed of 35+ WPM and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated systems to ensure processes stay within standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and follow SOPs to restore stability
  • Perform system checks and preventive maintenance for reliability
  • Analyze data to identify trends and root causes of abnormalities
  • Support wafer handling and production flow in a cleanroom environment
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve equipment and production
  • Document issues and solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Drive continuous improvement of procedures and equipment reliability

Job Title: Process Technician

Location: North Phoenix

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Industry: Semiconductor

Compensation: $21 to $24/hr DOE

Schedule:
  • First 1-3 months: Paid training Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • After training: Transition to 12-hour shifts
    • Day shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
    • Night shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
  • Production schedule: 3-4 days per week on rotating 12-hour shifts

What You'll Do:
  • Operate and Monitor Automated Systems: Independently monitor production operations, wafer flow, equipment performance, and automated system dashboards to ensure processes remain within established standards.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment & Process Issues: Respond quickly to alarms and abnormalities by following established SOPs, decision trees, and troubleshooting procedures to restore equipment and production stability.
  • Perform System Checks & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine equipment checks, inspections, and basic maintenance activities to identify potential issues and support reliable system performance.
  • Analyze Data & Identify Abnormalities: Review equipment data, system reports, and production information to recognize trends, investigate abnormalities, and help identify root causes.
  • Support Wafer Handling & Production Flow: Monitor and manage wafer movement through automated systems while performing manual wafer hand‑carries when required to maintain production flow.
  • Work in Cleanroom Environments: Perform hands‑on work in a controlled cleanroom environment while wearing required cleanroom attire and following strict safety, contamination‑control, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineers & Cross‑Functional Teams: Partner with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot issues, stabilize processes, implement corrective actions, and improve equipment and production performance.
  • Prioritize Multiple Tasks: Manage competing priorities, including production lots, system alerts, equipment checks, and troubleshooting activities, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and production output.
  • Document Issues & Solutions: Accurately record equipment abnormalities, troubleshooting actions, system conditions, and resolutions to support communication and prevent recurring issues.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procedures, equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall process stability.
Job Requirements
