Job description

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems, or services, providing detailed technical product information, and maintaining relationships with customers in an assigned geographic territory, industry, or accounts.

This is a home-office position ideally based in Southern Germany.

Become the main customer interface for all technical requirements, understanding and supporting customer needs, and mobilizing internal TE resources for timely and effective resolution.

  1. Become the technical expert for TE products used in truck applications.
  2. Develop new business opportunities and turn them into profitable sales growth.
  3. Coordinate and report technical requirements within the GAM team and with the wider TE sales team, including involved component manufacturers, to support projects and future developments.
  4. Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominant position and define product requirements.
  5. Manage customer-specific developments technically and coordinate related product validation with the customer.
  6. Build a strong network of relationships at the customer.
  7. Support the account manager with presentations, quotations, and negotiations of specific projects.
  8. Coordinate Techdays or workshops and present latest products to the customer.
  9. Communicate results and account activity regularly and comprehensively as requested by the Global Account Manager, regional Sales Manager, or senior management team.
What your background should look like:
  1. Strong technical background, with expertise in HV.
  2. Completed studies in engineering, preferably electrical engineering.
  3. Several years of experience in sales engineering, account management, product, or project management with commercial experience.
  4. Experience in the automotive/Commercial transport market, preferably in the area of German OEM or harness maker.
  5. Fluent in German and English.
  6. IT experience - Microsoft Office; optional: SAP project planning tools, Salesforce.
  7. Outgoing, communicative, and assertive demeanor with good presentation and negotiation skills.
  8. Strong interest in the sales of technically sophisticated products.
  9. Willingness to travel – anticipated minimum 25% at customer premises in the Munich and Stuttgart areas.
