Job summary

Emser Tile in Spokane, WA is seeking a versatile Customer Service & Warehouse Associate to act as the primary contact for clients, greet customers, and manage orders in the JDE system.

You will collaborate with the Branch Operations and Sales teams to boost customer experience, support showroom activities, and handle warehouse tasks, including inventory control and sample board creation. A background in warehouse or design roles is preferred, with bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in building, construction, design, or warehouse environments preferred.
• Results-driven, customer-focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a busy environment.
• Outstanding leadership, critical thinking, decision-making, and listening skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills and composure under pressure, with a commitment to open communication and trust.
• Knowledge of database and query functions; functional computer skills required.
• Ability to accurately read and respond to non-verbal communication.
• Excellent basic math skills, including piece-to-square-foot calculations and product counting/tracking.
• Ability to create and produce basic sample boards and handle inventory safely and efficiently.
• Forklift certification and experience using a wet saw are a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, or other language as appropriate for the area.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients, including Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers, delivering outstanding service in person and over the phone.
• Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and act as the face of Emser Tile for new and returning clients.
• Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system with accurate recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Branch Operations and Sales teams to support branch and market goals.
• Support showroom customers with ISR and/or Operations Manager.
• Perform warehouse tasks such as inspecting, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping inventory as required.
• Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory; address discrepancies and generate reports.
• Assist will-call customers and ensure professional service throughout their experience.
• Support showroom maintenance, update samples/labels, and conduct monthly audits.
• Handle inventory receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting goods; ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Help Operations Manager and ISR prepare basic sample boards for branches or showrooms.
• Perform other tasks to support customer service and warehouse operations.
