Job summary

MAK Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Software Support Engineer to assist our global customer base and distributor network.

You will handle technical support requests, work with customers daily, and contribute to product training as needed. The role emphasizes C++ API usage, plugin design, and extensions; requires strong software engineering judgment, ability to diagnose complex problems, and the capability to work with Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Strong C++ programming and object-oriented design skills.
• Experience communicating with customers and translating requirements into solutions.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex software integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical support requests from customers and distributors.
• Work directly with customers on a daily basis and provide product training as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and sales teams to resolve issues.
• Assist in debugging, reproducing, and documenting software problems.
• Engage with C++ APIs, plugins, and extensions to meet project needs.

Skills

Object-oriented C++ experience

Strong problem-solving abilities

Basic knowledge of computer networking

Strong verbal and writtencommunication

Familiarity with Windows and Linux

US work authorization + Secret

Education
