Job summary

OhMD is hiring an integrations engineer to connect healthcare practices with EHR vendors, ensuring reliable production-ready integrations across multiple codebases. You will translate real-world workflows into technical requirements and own integrations through go-live.

You will work with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, and FHIR while coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver resilient, secure connections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software, integration, or solutions engineering roles owning integrations through production.
• Proficient in TypeScript and comfortable reading and shipping in C# and Elixir; SQL to inspect and validate data.
• API depth: REST, webhooks, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, pagination, rate limits, and versioned interfaces.
• FHIR experience; production integrations; read resources and bundles; collaborate with EHR interface teams.
• Customer-facing ownership; lead technical discovery; align with customer IT, analysts, operators, and vendors.
• EHR integration with athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, DrChrono, Elation, Healthie (preferred).
• Rigorous with real systems/data; rely on logs; handle PHI with least privilege by default.

Responsibilities

• Own customer integrations end-to-end with healthcare organizations, EHR vendors, and internal teams.
• Translate workflows into technical requirements; define feasibility and surface dependencies early.
• Build, test, launch, and own integrations through go-live and stabilization.
• Use REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven interfaces, file-based exchange, and vendor methods; manage OAuth 2.0, pagination, and retries.
• Support production integration health with logging, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms.
• Suggest reusable connectors and infrastructure improvements; contribute to tooling and playbooks.
