Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age; state age rules may vary.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, process transactions, bag merchandise, and manage produce codes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area to standard.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Promote company initiatives and verify security tags at checkout.
• Handle store accounting tasks and bank deposits.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay, and gift cards.
• Provide lottery service (where allowed) and issue licenses.
• Maintain lost and found and run vendor reports.
