Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers visibly and actively.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons and checkout procedures.
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage policies and control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow food safety regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; inspect equipment; support safety programs.
• Provide product information and create a welcoming environment for customers.
