Job summary

Asana is seeking a deeply technical Forward Deployed Engineer to help product teams deploy Command, a new offering. You will work directly with customers, move from insight to implementation, and feed real-world learnings back into the product.

The role is based in San Francisco or New York City with an office-centric hybrid schedule, requiring in-office days and optional WFH on select days. You will collaborate with engineers, platform teams, and administrators to connect Command to the work of

Qualifications

6+ years in technical customer-facing engineering roles.
Strong coding and systems thinking skills.
Experience with APIs, integrations, and automation.
Ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Engineering leaders to connect Command to existing systems.
Establish foundations for adoption and help teams improve planning, building, shipping and learning.
Move between cloud infrastructure, integrations, workflow design, automation, product enablement, and coaching.
Work directly in customer environments configuring secure access to source-control, CI/CD, and identity systems.
Write production‑quality code and turn customer solutions into reusable product capabilities.
Leave customers with a stronger system for building software.
