Job summary

San Francisco Compute Company is hiring for a Customer-Facing Support Engineer to own inbound tickets and escalations for enterprise workloads on our GPU/AI infrastructure.

You will triage and resolve issues across compute, networking, and platform layers, and communicate status updates clearly under pressure while coordinating across timezones. Join a 24/7 global coverage team and help evolve runbooks and knowledge bases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in technical support, customer support engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Comfortable troubleshooting infrastructure-level issues including Linux administration and scripting.
• Able to explain technical problems clearly to both technical customers and internal teams.
• Calm under pressure and able to handle after-hours coverage during incidents.
• Excellent written communication skills with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own inbound support tickets and live escalations for enterprise customers running workloads on our GPU/AI infrastructure.
• Triage and resolve technical issues across compute, networking, and platform layers.
• Communicate clearly with customers under pressure and provide real status updates.
• Hand off cleanly across timezones for seamless follow-the-sun coverage.
• Improve runbooks, SOPs, and the knowledge base while using AI-assisted tooling.
