Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

This role requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous customer service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is often desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked; recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Other duties as assigned*.
