Job summary

Dollar Tree in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
