Job summary

At Parker Hannifin Corporation's Parflex Division, we power systems behind vehicles and machinery worldwide. We seek a Customer Service Specialist to respond to inquiries by phone, email, or CRM, and to coordinate pricing requests and order status.

You will prepare and enter purchase orders, manage orders and material releases, and provide technical information to distributors. Collaboration with Pricing, Engineering, and sales teams is essential to deliver accurate quotes and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Two to four years customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to customer inquiries received by phone, email, or CRM software.
  • Communicate requests for cost estimates on non-standard products.
  • Check stock, provide pricing and delivery information on orders or potential orders.
  • Check order status or expedite orders with Production, Supply Chain or Shipping Departments.
  • Prepare and enter purchase orders; provide customer code, pricing, quantity, part number, order acknowledgments, etc.
  • Manage orders and material releases received by Electronic Data Interchange.
  • Clarify policies and procedures such as condition of sale and pricing structure.
  • Prepare and submit request for returned goods authorization.
  • Provide technical information to distributors from catalogs or engineering/PM/technical services.
  • Collaborate with Pricing Department on customer quotes and maintain documentation.
  • Participate in problem solving and process improvement teams.
  • Investigate and approve or deny credit requests as forwarded by Accounts Receivable.
  • Acknowledge customer orders upon request.
  • Assist outside sales personnel.
  • Sample requests.
  • Quotes on non-standards.
  • Clarification of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in weekly update and problem-solving meetings.
  • Any other similar or associated duties.

  • Participate in problem solving and process improvement teams
  • Investigate and approve or deny requests for credit as forwarded by the Accounts Receivable Dept.

Secondary Responsibilities/Non-Essential Job Functions:
