As a Customer Experience Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for everyone visiting the Arizona Humane Society, providing professional, compassionate service to customers, adopters, volunteers, and community members. In this highly visible role, you will welcome visitors, answer questions, navigate customers to the appropriate departments, and educate them on the wide range of programs and services offered by AHS. You will also provide empathetic support to individuals arriving with animals in need, resolve customer concerns, and ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional customer service and compassionate care.
This dynamic role combines customer service with administrative support to help keep daily operations running efficiently. You will coordinate customer flow by managing wait times, facilitate the adoption check-in process, assist with adoption paperwork and animal profiles, receive deliveries and in-kind donations, maintain a professional front lobby, and provide general support to the Adoptions team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to remain calm under pressure while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment dedicated to helping people and pets.
There will be standing and walking required, as well as lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds. There will be occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment.
