Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Customer Service Consultant Trainee in Parker, Colorado. This role connects customers with a seamless CarMax experience, handling online inquiries, guiding vehicle choices, and supporting finance applications and delivery scheduling.

You will work toward sales targets, mentor teammates as your skills grow, and may need to obtain state-specific Automotive Sales Person Licenses, with travel as required. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

Sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail.
Thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
Strong listening skills and customer focus.
High level of self-motivation to meet performance goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn new technologies and strong computer skills.
Open availability for shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be willing to adjust schedules twice per year based on business needs.
Must live within 100 miles of the Customer Experience Center location.

Connect with inbound customers online and over the phone to understand their next car purchase needs.
Use CarMax inventory knowledge to guide customers toward suitable vehicles.
Guide customers from online sales or appraisal through finance applications and vehicle delivery scheduling.
Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing for an unparalleled customer experience.
Mentor colleagues as your skillset expands.
Achieve sales targets while delivering an iconic customer experience.
Acquire the Automotive Sales Person License in specific states, which may require testing and travel.
