Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Arkansas LLC is seeking a friendly, reliable Retail Associate for a part-time position. You’ll assist customers with questions and recommendations, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked, clean, and secure.

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving are valued. You may lift 30–50 lbs, walk and stand for long periods, and follow instructions to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience for customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
