Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a reliable Team Member to be the primary customer contact, stocking and merchandising displays, and operating the cash register. You will help maintain a clean, safe store environment and support overall store profitability while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include executing merchandising guidelines, assisting at self-checkout, stocking shelves, and adhering to policies. This is a fast-paced role requiring frequent standing and light lifting.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read planograms and follow merchandise guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills and cash register proficiency.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment.
• Rotate product to create eye-catching displays and drive sales.
• Operate cash registers, total purchases, collect payment and bag merchandise.
• Assist customers at self-checkout and with merchandise as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in SOP.
