Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Team Member to act as a primary customer contact, stock and merchandise displays, and manage checkout processes. You will help maintain a clean store, assist customers at self-checkout, and follow company policies to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

As a Team Member, you will rotate and replenish merchandise, build eye-catching displays, and ensure high standards of store appearance while protecting company assets and supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills and cash handling knowledge.
• Ability to operate cash register functions and stock/display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Possess product knowledge and use selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment.
• Assist in merchandising the store and rotate products to drive sales.
• Operate cash register(s) and assist customers with checkout.
