Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Team Member to greet customers, stock and merchandize displays, operate cash registers, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment. The role emphasizes service, product knowledge, and following company procedures to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include assisting customers at checkouts, stocking shelves per planograms, and maintaining displays while adhering to safety and SOP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Possess product knowledge and use of selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers.
• Assist in merchandising displays to drive sales and eye-catching visuals.
• Operate cash registers and scanners, collect payment, bag merchandise, and assist customers at registers.
• Assist customers in self-checkout at multiple terminals.
• Follow merchandise processes: unpack, stock, rotate, and display merchandise.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and maintain restrooms and receiving area.
