Job summary

Binny's Beverage Depot in Illinois is seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead daily store operations, motivate staff, and uphold service standards. You report to and assist the General Manager and Assistant Store Manager, ensuring a positive customer experience and safe, policy-compliant shopping.

Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, merchandising, inventory oversight, hiring support, and driving sales while maintaining payroll controls.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1–2 years retail management experience; supervisory/training skills.
• Full-time, evenings, weekends, holidays; regular attendance.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate confidently with staff and customers.
• Ability to influence at all levels and drive management strategies.
• Strong reading/writing skills; read small type.
• Good organizational and time management; multitasking.
• Ability to operate cash registers and scanners.
• Must pass alcohol training and maintain certification if required.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
• Able to work in cold areas.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and respond to customer inquiries.
• Observe and guide staff to improve customer experience.
• Lead by example to deliver high levels of customer service and drive sales.
• Conduct orientations, train and coach store associates.
• Use tools to diagnose opportunities and plan improvements.
• Communicate with managers about strengths, opportunities, and trends.
• Provide direction and feedback on staff performance.
• Assist in hiring to fill open positions.
• Ensure store appearance standards and signage accuracy.
• Plan and adjust schedules to maximize sales and control payroll.
• Coordinate merchandising and promotions with accurate pricing.
